The Marong Family Hotel has been part of the community of Marong since it was built on it’s present site in 1865.
We are proud to offer an inviting family focused atmosphere in our renovated 100 year old Hotel. An enticing mix of fine dining and classic pub cuisine will keep you coming back for more.
A bit of history
The Marong area was first squatted from the mid 1840s and used as a gold washing site and commissioners camp.
By 1861 there were 36 dwellings at Marong. The majority of residents were farmers. The original Hotel was built on the present site in 1865. The hotel was burnt down in early 1917, and rebuilt later that year.
